Description
Located immediately below the steep slopes of the Christmas Hills escarpment, Nenagh Park possesses the delicious combination of mature vines, full exposure to the east, protection from the extremes of summer heat and rich grey loam soils. These factors allow the development of power and richness with poise and finesse.
Hand harvested and whole bunch pressed immediately after picking, the juice is transferred to a mix of old oak 225L barriques, 300L hogsheads and 500L puncheons for natural ferments and maturation over winter and spring. The 2022 Bobar Chardonnay was blended in November 2022 and bottled a month later. 290 dozen produced.

The 2022 season
The 2021/22 season was the third successive cool season, and the wines of 2022 are outstanding. Adequate rain throughout the season and generally cool conditions made for a slow and steady vine development, slow ripening with fantastic natural acidity and amazing flavour development. The wines have purity, balance and intensity with profound ageing capacity.
